LED Pot Light FAQ
What's the difference between 4-inch and 6-inch pot lights?
4-inch pot lights are ideal for smaller rooms, lower ceilings, and accent lighting. 6-inch fixtures produce more light coverage and work best in kitchens, living rooms, basements, and larger open-concept spaces. Our electricians will recommend the right size during your free consultation.
Is installation included in the $69 / $79 price?
Yes — the $69.00 (4-inch) and $79.00 (6-inch) prices are all-in installed prices. The fixture, labour, and professional installation by our licensed electricians is included. Get in touch for a full quote based on the number of lights you need.
Are these LED pot lights dimmable?
Yes. Our LED pot lights are fully dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. We can install or upgrade your dimmer switches at the same time — just let us know when booking.
Are your pot lights IC-rated for insulated ceilings?
Yes — all fixtures we supply are IC-rated (insulation contact) and airtight rated, making them safe for insulated ceilings throughout Edmonton homes. This is a code requirement in Alberta and we never compromise on it.
Do I need a permit to install pot lights in Edmonton?
In most cases, yes. Electrical work in Edmonton requires a permit pulled by a licensed electrician. When you book installation through Raylum Lighting, we handle all permits and inspections — you don't have to do a thing.
